The Role

In this exciting new role, you’ll be supporting various business domains, overseeing all areas of program delivery ensuring a smooth delivery of each assigned project from initial conception to post go-live review, and successfully monitoring all work-streams. You’ll need to be a strong multitasker, able to switch gears quickly, as you may be working with the Project Managers for 8-10 projects at any given time. You’ll act as the hub that holds the pieces together, with an understanding of how everything connects, and the ability to use your strategic and creative thinking to deliver against larger corporate objectives.

Some of your specific tasks will be to:
  • Participate in the leadership team of the PMO, setting strategy, standards, processes, etc.
  • Oversee project management of key business initiatives, providing communication back to business areas on their projects’ status; project management for reasonable initiatives in the absence of project manager.
  • Ensure completion of assigned projects as aggressively as possible while acting as an ambassador for Project Management Office portfolio management standards.
  • Collaborate on development of strategic plans, roadmaps, business cases and prioritization of customer-facing system initiatives and tasks.
  • Liaise between IT and business units for operational and other related technology issues.
  • Lead portfolio planning and develop annual portfolio plan and estimates for each initiative (effort and dollars); support the cross prioritization of initiatives across functional areas.
  • Truly care about our business partners/customers, their team members and their vendors, and demonstrate this in your words, your actions and how you deliver.
  • Project Management throughout the full systems development life cycle using both waterfall and Agile methodologies.
  • Develop Program and project budgets, track actuals against forecast, and remain within departmental guidelines for variances.
  • Partner with enterprise architecture to develop and maintain multi-year business capability roadmaps.
  • Partner with business transformation teams (change management) to ensure effective business transformation for all initiatives.
  • Develop a deep knowledge of the business partner’s business unit and build positive relationship development, both horizontally and vertically.
  • Drive issue escalation and resolution; risk identification and mitigation; and the overall removal of roadblocks that impede progress of the project.
  • Complete status reporting.
  • Liaise with management in key stakeholder groups (i.e. Business, Operations, Technology, Risk, Legal, etc.).
  • Develop and implement work plans, and coordinate across various cross-impacted teams.

However, you’ll have help and mentorship along the way, and will have opportunities to help and mentor others in turn.

The “best of both worlds”
You’ll find that working for our company may be a little bit different. However, our extensive offering of services and solutions and proven track record of growth, stability and industry-leading innovation give you the resources and tools you need to take your career to the next level.

Stable profile

Green standard for sustainability
We are committed to improving the performance and energy efficiency of our data centers through the creation, adoption and promotion of industry-leading best data center practices. Not only do we build to LEED and BREEAM certification requirements, but we also are pioneers in thinking about green data centers, including being a contributing member of The Green Grid.
