To be a good fit for the Facility Assistant opportunity, you will have:

• 1+ years of experience in facility repair and maintenance management; experience in data centers or other high-reliability environments is preferred 
• A background in basic carpentry and general building hardware maintenance (doors, locks, windows, flooring, etc.)
• Painting and patching experience
• General mechanical skills
• Solid computer skills to work with our ticketing system; working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Outlook, Word and Excel
• Experience with vendor management, scheduling and coordination is a plus

You will work from 6 AM to 2 PM, Monday through Friday. Occasional overtime may be required.

Reporting to the Manager, Property Services, you'll join a team that includes one other Facilities Assistant and be responsible for providing day-to-day facility maintenance and repairs at a large campus. This is a broad role with important facility-focused responsibilities. While other members of Operations are responsible for equipment repair and maintenance, your focus will be on the building and grounds.

You will use our web-based ticketing system to prioritize your work and support the facility's reliability by assisting with basic maintenance and repair of various mechanical systems, minor leaks, and oversight of the grounds, including irrigation and snow removal, and more. Much of the work will be hands-on, and you'll also coordinate with vendors.

More specifically, you will:

• Perform daily walkthroughs of the facilities and maintain facility logs in compliance with walkthrough observations
• Assist with minor facility modifications
• Assist managers with obtaining facility-related price quotations and bid proposals
• Escort customers and vendors to various locations within the campus
• Assist with scheduling repairs and preventative maintenance of general facility equipment and grounds, including but not limited to, landscaping, irrigation systems, elevators and lifts, dock levelers, pest control and trash removal
• Assist with cleaning and general maintenance of the facility
• Perform general maintenance tasks, such as light carpentry, light landscaping, changing light bulbs, crating and uncrating equipment, painting, door hardware and adjustments; you'll need to be able to utilize all standard hand tools
• Providing basic maintenance reports
• Organize and file facility documents
