The Requirements

To be a good fit for this opportunity you will have two to three years of marketing experience and at least one of the following in your background; the ideal candidate will have both:
  • Exceptional organizational skills -- including the ability to organize others -- and a track record of success handling administrative activities such as budgeting, invoices, product fulfillment, project management tasks, etc. Quick question for you - click here
  • Design experience, strong creativity and proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (specifically InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop) and MS Office, including intermediate to advanced skills in PowerPoint.
In addition you will need:
  • A bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience in a fast-paced corporate or agency marketing environment and a demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment to meet deadlines with efficiency and accuracy.
  • Strong vendor management skills with a track record of success in this area.
  • Experience with re-branding projects is a plus.
You also will need the following characteristics and competencies:
  • The ability to plan events and trade shows.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail a MUST.
  • A solid work ethic, sense of urgency, positive attitude, and be a contributing member to the marketing team.

The Role

Reporting to the Marketing Manager, you will join a global marketing team that also includes resources in Europe and Asia Pacific. You will work closely with and be a part of a dynamic North American & Corporate marketing team consisting of a Marketing Manager, Digital Marketing Manager, Web Producer, Marketing Director and VP of Global Marketing. The marketing team provides all marketing support for the U.S. and Canada and the Marketing Coordinator will support the marketing team in all B2B marketing and sales support efforts. Pivotal to your success in this role will be your ability to "switch hats" readily between creative projects and administrative/organizational work. Your specific activities and objectives will include:
  • Supporting the Digital Realty brand in all aspects of the company's marketing efforts.
  • Managing marketing collateral by coordinating requirements within the organization, inventorying stock, placing orders and verifying receipt. Quick question for you - click here
  • Coordinating production of marketing collateral, including editing and creating templates; collateral may include PowerPoint presentations, leasing materials such as flyers and brochures, and more.
  • Planning trade shows, conferences and special events by identifying, assembling and coordinating requirements; establishing contacts; developing schedules and assignments; and coordinating event programs including event email campaigns and assignment of generated leads. Some travel may be required.
  • Managing our branded promotional item program (e.g. company store, print store).
  • Managing projects including coordinating communication across stakeholders in connection with key initiatives, defining timelines and managing projects to completion.
  • Contributing to ongoing department process enhancements to increase efficiency and quality.
  • Assisting with the development and execution of demand generation campaigns via offline and online marketing channels
  • Trafficking marketing projects through to completion with outside agencies, art services, printers, etc.
