- A bachelor’s degree or at least 6 years of related experience
The Role
In this role, you will report to the Vice President of Sales and work closely with the Central Region Sales team. You’ll be in charge of the Chicago territory, making cold calls to our prime candidates in the Web-based, corporate and service provider markets.You will work from our Chicago office and may also travel occasionally with customers to tour Digital Realty’s data center locations throughout the U.S., Europe and Asia.
In sales, no day is ever the same; however, with each sales call, you’ll be expected to strategically evaluate a potential customer’s data center requirements and clearly articulate Digital Realty’s value propositions and competitive advantage.
This position has high sales goals, so you'll need to have some serious new-business development chops, and know how to break through the gatekeepers to penetrate the appropriate decision makers within an organization. If you succeed, your rewards will be well worth the efforts.
