The Role

In this role you will report to and directly support the Real Estate Manager (REM) and the Director of Property Operations, as well as members of the Operations team. This is a "jack of all trades" admin position where you'll greet visitors and employees, answer calls, make copies, put together reports and administer our general office / kitchen supply inventory. Much of your time will be spent serving as the “right arm” to the REM and Director, keeping them organized, doing project work, acting as gatekeeper and more.   • Creating PowerPoints, Word docs and other presentation collateral
  • Schedule management 
  • Project prep-work/research
  • Purchase order generation
  • Managing meeting, travel and other arrangements
  • Additional tasks, as assigned
The Operations team here in Ashburn is responsible for a variety of activities that support our data centers, and there are about 13-14 people in this group. There are also 4-5 sales people and 1-2 design and construction team members at this location. You’ll play a key role in supporting the team and managing administrative tasks. As your knowledge of the business increases, you'll take on more complex tasks. Specifically, you will:
  • Coordinate business activities within the group
  • Respond to general inquiries and provide information, as needed
  • Assist with travel arrangements and process expense reimbursement requests
  • Organize meeting resources and logistics
  • Prepare meeting agendas and record meeting minutes
  • Perform administrative duties such as updating databases, preparing materials for meetings, helping as needed during budgeting and more.
Normally, you'll work an 8 hour day shift, but you could be asked to stay and help during budget preparation and other work intensive periods.

You may start the day with a well laid out to-do list, but you can expect that list to change more than once! To fit in well with the team you will be down-to-earth and take direction with a "can do" attitude. You'll be resourceful, learn quickly, and accomplish tasks autonomously, but you also should know when to ask for help or clarification.
