Why Digital Realty

Outstanding opportunity -- with Digital Realty's stellar reputation and top position in the marketplace, we've been able to hire and retain the best in the business. Earning an Implementation Services Manager role with us will not only let you work with the best, it will demonstrate you are the best! It's also an excellent opportunity to stay on the cutting-edge, continue to evolve your skillset and further build your career.

High impact role -- while we have processes and standards in place, we'll look to you to help the Director strategically build a stronger delivery foundation of standards and guidelines on which we can best execute our mission and scale with future demand. You'll be able to make a visible impact on short order, and your efforts will have a lasting impact on our long-range growth.

Growth and development -- the Technical Services Delivery group, like the company itself, is on the uptrend and you will play a critical role in its growth and development. This is a foundational role and once standards and the team are firmly in place and thoroughly tested via a significant number of build-outs, your role could move from a regional to national or global scope.

Strong culture -- at Digital Realty you'll join a great team made up of diverse personalities in an easy-going but results-oriented atmosphere. We value transparency and collaboration, and understand the value that each employee brings. We are collaborative and people-focused, with a dedication to quality and continuous improvement.

Stable profile -- our uncommonly strong balance sheet, investment-grade debt ratings and the ability to borrow in multiple currencies provide a global footprint for our customers and risk-reducing diversification for us. That puts us in an excellent position to grow the company, provide financing options for our customers, and continually invest in our properties.

Green standard for sustainability -- we are committed to improving the performance and energy efficiency of our data centers through the creation, adoption and promotion of industry-leading best data center practices (pictured). Not only do we build to LEED and BREEAM certification requirements, but we also are pioneers in thinking about green data centers, including being a contributing member of The Green Grid.

Excellent compensation -- in addition to a strong salary and performance based bonus, we offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental and vision insurances; flexible spending plans for multiple purposes; a health savings account; a 401(k) plan with company match and much more.

Keys to Success

This is a role that will require strong technical and advanced project management skills, as well as deep knowledge of raised floor construction, IT operations, and comfort with basic cost accounting principles. You’ll leverage all of your skills on a daily basis. This is not typical project management, however, because you will be managing several projects simultaneously. We’ve already said it but it’s worth repeating here – you must have outstanding organizational skills to drive and track many projects. Every deployment is a small, specialized construction project and you'll be involved with virtually every aspect of each project from cradle to grave.

Just as important as your technical skills will be your interpersonal and communication abilities. You’ll build partnerships and influence the property teams at each location. Not only will you need to help drive the technical standards by which project teams operate, you’ll ensure that those standards are being followed. Taking a team-oriented approach will be key. Additionally, you should be skilled and comfortable speaking and presenting to high-level clients including C-suite executives.
