The Role

While you'll be seated in Houston, you can plan on routinely traveling to Austin for one or two days every other week. • Technical event management including post-event root cause analysis and infrastructure repair
  • Data center construction management, commissioning and start-up
  • Delivery of data center services including colocation, connectivity, raised floor services and deployment
  • Installation and management of all cable and network infrastructure supporting facility and customer connectivity

You will leverage outstanding communication and interpersonal skills in order to oversee the team and build relationships with your customers. You'll also be expected to combine urgency with communication when responding to events. While you'll work days, you'll be on call 24/7/365 and your ability to effectively mange critical event calls will be key to your success in this role.

This is a visible role where you'll enjoy a lot of interaction with departments and staff throughout all levels of the organization. As you'd expect, your technical skills will be paramount to your success, but strong leadership and communication skills will be equally essential. You'll speak with high-level customers and should be able to verbally demonstrate your expertise. You will also develop and write emails at a level that Fortune 100 companies would expect, as well as write green events.

To excel here, you’ll need to be comfortable working autonomously and independently. We’ll expect you to proactively problem solve, look for solutions independently, and exercise your judgment and managerial abilities to take action and make decisions. The ability to look at a situation, analyze the cause of the issue and the viable options available, apply judgment and then present a recommendation are exactly the type of problem solving skills we are looking for. If you’re self-directed and enjoy taking ownership of your work, this role could be the ideal environment for you to succeed.
