Your Qualifications

The ideal candidate for the role of Trust Compliance Analyst will have a strong background in IT security controls implementation, testing/continuous monitoring, and compliance. This is a hands-on, thinking role, so s/he should also have the technical skill to look at a configuration and personally validate it.

To meet the basic qualifications for this role you will have legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring a visa transfer or visa sponsorship. To be a good fit for the Trust Compliance Analyst opportunity, you will have:
  • Five or more years of progressive experience in the design and testing of IT security controls. We will consider highly technical candidates with slightly less but directly relevant experience.

  • Understanding of Cloud-based services, Windows and Linux operating systems, and open-source databases Quick question for you - click here
  • Direct experience with audit frameworks, including SSAE 16 SOC 2 and SOX
  • Familiarity with industry-standard security frameworks, including ISO 27001 and NIST 800-5
  • Bachelor's degree is preferred

The Role

Opportunity Snapshot
Reporting to the Director of Information Security, as Trust Compliance Analyst, you will perform IT security control testing as part of Digital Realty’s Trust program. You will be responsible for validating how IT security controls protecting our production and corporate environments are operating, and for providing feedback to internal control owners on the design, implementation and efficacy of those security controls. 

Opportunity Details
You will own your role, taking a self-motivated approach and driving your assignments. Of course, you won’t work in a silo – we have weekly meetings and interact extensively – but your manager will trust you to manage your workload, perform required tasks and meet deadlines without needing a great deal of oversight. Throughout your work, you’ll also look for ways of improving processes/controls. Specific tasks will include:
  • Assisting in providing evidence of control review to external auditors
  • Collecting evidence regarding implementation of IT security controls
  • Documenting findings and track to remediation using GRC tool
  • Reviewing documented IT security controls
  • Interviewing internal control owners to determine how controls are implemented
  • Providing feedback to control owners in regard to IT security controls
  • Collaborating in designing new IT security controls
  • Providing advice in implementing existing security controls for new products
  • Assisting in collection of IT Security controls metrics
