What's in It for You

Robust training
You'll spend a significant amount of time shadowing another Sales Engineer (most likely in New York) and as soon as you are comfortable, you will hit the ground running. We'll give you the foundation of training, support and resources you need to succeed.

Professional development
We are looking for someone who wants to grow with the department and with the company -- and it's safe to say that this is a role where you will never be bored. In fact, you'll have the opportunity to take the lead on special projects and your efforts will be noticed throughout the organization. Once you have mastered this role you may take on new responsibilities, and we're always looking for strong performers to move up within the company.

Broad exposure
At most organizations Sales Engineers are siloed into a specific area of focus and interact with only a fraction of the company's functional areas. Here, it's just the opposite: you'll work with just about all our departments, from real estate to accounting. You'll be involved in virtually all aspects of the sales cycle, from gathering requirements and vetting information to conducting web seminars and facility tours. You'll also interact with people at various levels at a diverse customer base that includes some of the biggest names on the Internet.

Growth without limits
We merged with DuPont Fabros Technology (DFT), effective in September 2017, accelerating our commitment to provide the most comprehensive set of data center solutions and expertise in the market. We now are able to support deployments ranging from single-cabinet colocation and interconnection to multi-megawatt to hyperscale. The combined company has an equity market cap of approximately $27 billion, and a total enterprise value of over $35 billion.

People-focused culture
We are a collaborative, people-focused group dedicated to quality and continuous improvement. When you join us, you receive our commitment to your continued development and support. We strive to promote a friendly, fun and open work environment, and our dedication to this is reflected in the tenure of our employees. People like it here and tend to stay.

Excellent compensation
In addition to competitive compensation and bonus potential, we offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental and vision plans; a generous allotment of paid time off and paid holidays; flexible spending plans for multiple purposes; a health savings account; a 401(k) plan with company match and much more.

Pictured: You will learn about data center operations, including both the leading-edge power management (above) and mission critical systems such as cooling (below), power, security and more. Each of our data campuses is part of the largest ecosystem of world-class US, European, and APAC carriers, hosting physical connection points for the world's telecommunications networks and Internet backbones.

Keys to Success

To excel in this role you will take a proactive approach to developing relationships and establishing yourself as a trusted advisor to both internal and external customers. You'll also need to enhance your facilities engineering knowledge with a good understanding of networking, so you can speak credibly with customers. The East Coast is a very active market, and we're looking for a driven professional who can help our sales reps move the inventory. You'll serve as a liaison among many different stakeholders, bringing synergy to the process.

You'll also need the ability to articulate the big picture and how we pull all the pieces together to deliver to expectations -- they won't see all that's behind the scenes, but they'll appreciate the peace of mind that comes from knowing it's all there. At the same time, if the conversation during a customer tour goes into detail, you'll be able to "get granular" and respond to all but the most technical of questions. To sum it up, we are looking for a person who knows when to get technical and when to keep the conversation at the high-level overview.
