What's in It for You

Professional development
This is an ideal position if you are a professional looking to broaden your bandwidth and skillset. As you can see under The Role tab, you'll gain exposure to just about all of the financial functions for this region. As you grow and develop, you'll be in a position to take on greater responsibilities. We're filling this role to help accommodate strong ongoing growth, and that grow will create opportunities for proven performers.

Fun role in evolving space
You'll join a team that works well together, delivers results and has fun in the process. Right now is an interesting time, as we integrate Digital Realty, which focuses on the wholesale side of the data center industry, and Telx, which focuses on the retail side. In addition, Digital is public and, prior to the merger, Telx was private. It's a powerful combination of two industry leaders, and you'll support the success of a new model that includes the full range of data center options.

High impact team
The Regional Manager is proactive about ensuring this team continues to play an important role in the organization. Our role is evolving and once we master one responsibility we can take on new ones. You'll interact with senior executives frequently and you can expect to partner with virtually all departments and levels throughout the organization.

Unique culture
We are a collaborative, people-focused organization dedicated to quality and continuous improvement. When you become a member of our team, you receive our commitment to your continued development and support. We strive to promote a friendly, fun and open work environment, and our dedication to this is reflected in the tenure of our employees and our commitment to honoring work / life balance.

The 'best of both worlds'
You'll find that working for our company may be a little bit different. We are small enough, with only 1400 employees across our global portfolio, that your hard work will be visible throughout the organization, yet our extensive offering of services and solutions and proven track record of growth; stability and industry-leading innovation give you the resources and tools you need to take your career to the next level.

Growth without limits
We merged with DuPont Fabros Technology (DFT), effective in September 2017, accelerating our commitment to provide the most comprehensive set of data center solutions and expertise in the market. We now are able to support deployments ranging from single-cabinet colocation and interconnection to multi-megawatt to hyperscale. The combined company has an equity market cap of approximately $27 billion, and a total enterprise value of over $35 billion.

Green standard for sustainability
We are committed to improving the performance and energy efficiency of our data centers through the creation, adoption and promotion of industry-leading best data center practices. Not only do we build to LEED and BREEAM certification requirements, but we also are pioneers in thinking about green data centers, including being a contributing member of The Green Grid.

Excellent compensation
In addition to a competitive salary on bonus incentive plan, we offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental and vision plans; flexible spending plans for multiple purposes; a health savings account; a 401(k) plan with company match and much more.

Pictured: While you won't get hands on with the technical assets, you will learn about data center operations, including both the leading-edge telecom/Internet infrastructure (above) and mission critical systems such as cooling (below), power, security and more. Each of our data campuses is part of the largest ecosystem of world-class US, European, and APAC carriers, hosting physical connection points for the world's telecommunications networks and Internet backbones.

Keys to Success

To excel in this role, you will use your commercial real estate, property management and financial experience to come up to speed very quickly with our very unique standards of business, procedures and policies. Our operations and standards are distinctive and one-of-a kind, so you’ll need the aptitude and learning agility to swiftly gain a comprehensive understanding of our inimitable systems and functions.

Additionally, in order to be an outstanding Real Estate Manager, you’ll need to be comfortable working autonomously and independently, in an environment where your supervisor and your team of direct reports may not be on-site. You won’t be on an island though, as you’ll be working with a team of direct reports and other Real Estate Managers and their teams in different regions.

We’ll expect you to proactively problem solve and look for solutions independently, and exercise your judgment and managerial abilities to take action and make decisions. The ability to look at a situation, analyze the cause of the issue and the viable options available, apply judgment and then present the recommendation are exactly the type of problem solving skill sets we are looking for. If you’re self-directed and enjoy taking ownership of your work, this role could be the ideal environment for you to succeed.
