The Role
This is an individual contributor role reporting directly to the Senior Manager, IT Service Operations. Our IT team is split into: 1) Server and 2) Network teams and you’ll join our Network team. At a high level, you'll spend about 45% of your time on project-based work, such as integrating Skype or WebEx with IT telephony; another 25% with day-to-day administrative work and fixing problems; and the remaining 30% with project management duties managing 3rd party vendors.Specifically, your responsibilities would be to:
- Work with stakeholders to gather requirements and develop an implementation plan
- Drive design and implementation of telephony, video conferencing, and other collaboration solutions
- Partner with network team to ensure optimal network configurations for telephony and collaboration
- Provide Tier 3 / SME and on-call support for telephony, video conferencing, and other collaboration solutions
- Provide escalation point for resolving complex problems requiring advanced skills and research capability
- Schedule and implement regular patches and upgrades per established process which includes working in coordination with operations, corporate services and information security teams
- Maintain vendor relationships and ensure compliance with licensing agreements
- Provide support knowledge sharing, authoring, and maintenance of system run books and documentation
