We understand that there will be a learning curve, and we'll help you. At the same time, you should be proactive about getting up to speed quickly. You can expect to be very busy, and you'll need to be able to juggle multiple projects and manage various priorities. Some projects will be relatively simple and short, while others will be more ambitious, such as a total infrastructure replacement. One of your challenges will be to make changes while the data center continues to operate, ensuring no lapses in performance. It will be a little like changing the tires on a car doing 60 mph.

Your technical knowledge will be essential, but just as important will be interpersonal skills. You'll need to establish working relationships with local operations teams, sales engineers and business leaders within Digital Realty, as well as with customers and external contractors. This will require you to be as comfortable holding business/commercial conversations as you are engaging in highly technical ones.

Overall we are looking for an individual who:
  • Brings a professional approach and a commitment to producing quality work.
  • Delivers reliable and quick deployments.
  • Remains adaptable and open to learning.
  • Achieves goals independently, but also knows when to ask for help.
