Reporting to the Vice President of Portfolio Operations, as Senior Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst, you will be responsible for the overall collection, analysis and management of operational and financial data to drive performance reporting against defined performance benchmarks. You will work directly with senior management to analyze performance data to drive business and operational strategies, as well as identify trends to forecast projected operational and financial performance results. Additionally, you will drive ad hoc projects to collect, analyze and summarize financial and operational data to support business and operational strategies and planning.

This is a hands-on, often collaborative role where you will gather and organize data, pull it into systems, sometimes working with the offshore development team to build tools and dashboards, then analyze and present your findings to audiences from the site level to the leadership team.  Quick question for you - click here

More about the Role
In addition to the responsibilities described under The Role tab, as part of your specific responsibilities, you will:
  • Be responsible for developing periodic performance reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing data in areas such as:
    • Operating and maintenance costs
    • Capital improvements
    • Workload and headcount utilization; overtime
    • Energy efficiency and usage
    • System reliability and incidents
    • Inventory management
    • Vendor contracts
    • Other metrics as assigned or discovered
  • Develop operational performance indicators (KPIs) and dashboards summarizing performance vs. benchmarks
  • Develop standardized business reporting processes in partnership with Operations, Accounting and Asset Management
  • Manage and analyze property performance audit scores and work across functions to create performance benchmarks
  • Partner with engineering personnel to summarize incident statistics, including incident frequencies, root cause and mean time between incidents/repairs
  • Collect and summarize customer service data, including requests type, response times and customer satisfaction
  • Work with energy management personnel to report energy efficiency (PUE), energy spend and conservation savings and capacity vs. consumption trends
  • Monitor, analyze and address potential operational and risk areas for the company based on data analysis
  • Leverage existing asset databases to analyze and produce inventory forecast requirements
  • Analyze and prepare vendor contract spend and savings achieved following portfolio bid programs
  • Partner with the Enterprise Technology Services team to develop, design and implement systems to support business reporting and statistics requirements
  • Be responsible for establishing partnerships and fostering productive working relationships with other business units in the organization to understand business needs, drivers and constraints
  • Effectively manage external stakeholders and resources to execute deliverables accurately and on time
  • Align team deliverables with management and business needs and proactively evaluate and execute analysis
About your Success
To excel in this role you will be a problem solver who can discern what information will be valuable to your audience, such as a data center manager. You'll think from their point of view -- what knowledge would be helpful -- and with that objective in mind, decide on the best tool (i.e., report-based data or dashboard-driven data). You may answer queries by site, look at data points across the country, by product, team, down to the individual team member, etc.
 
Communication skills will be essential. You'll need to be able to work effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization and at different locations. Collaboration is key here, so you'll call on your organizational agility to successfully coordinate with different stakeholders and departments across multiple time zones in the U.S. and abroad. Additionally, you'll need to be able to manage multiple projects, identify priorities and exercise good judgment. We're looking for a skilled and highly motivated individual who can research, compile, analyze, report and present findings in a clear and concise way.

To fit in well with the team, you should be able to thrive in a fast-moving, sometimes stressful environment and maintain an easy-going manner and sense of humor, even as you undertake your responsibilities with a sense of urgency.
