To be a good fit for the Assistant Real Estate Manager opportunity, you will have:
  • An associate or bachelor's (preferred) degree in Business, Real Estate, Finance or similar, or the equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • 3+ years of related experience in commercial or mixed-use property management, including responsibility for invoicing, purchase orders, researching variances, etc. Experience with large-scale commercial property leasing is a plus. Quick question for you - click here
  • Strong understanding of financial terms and principles and the ability to analyze financial statements.
  • A proven track record of providing superior customer service.
  • Respect for deadlines.

You will work with a Senior Real Estate Manager and a Real Estate Manager, both of whom are based in locations other than Atlanta. You'll help with all aspects of management for the assigned portfolio, including both financial and operational tasks. You'll process invoices and billing, provide various financial reports and accruals, re-forecasts, budgeting and reconciliations. Managing our customer ticketing system also will be a central component of your role. Additionally, you'll help with service agreements and more.

Each property in this portfolio is unique, and some are historic buildings. That means you'll gain a good deal of knowledge as you get to know the different aspects of legacy leases and diverse properties. Over time you will learn to work with Security, Engineering, Security, Shipping & Receiving, vendors and others. More specifically, you will:
  • Support the planning, budgeting and control of operating and capital expenditures.
  • Assist in the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts, monthly reports, variance reports, and heavy financial reporting.
  • Assist with accounts receivable and accounts payable, payment of expenses, common area maintenance estimates, reconciliations, compliance with lease terms, and preparation of all related documentation.
  • Respond to customer requests and needs; coordinate efforts with Property Management and Technical Operation teams to resolve issues.
