To meet the basic qualification for this role, you will have legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring a visa transfer or visa sponsorship. In addition, to be a good fit for the Security Architect opportunity, you will have:

• Must be knowledgeable and experienced in architectures and technologies around Zero Trust and Software Defined Infrastructure.
• Knowledge of Defense in Depth
• Knowledge of Application Security and Linux/Unix Platform Security
• Proficiency in a scripting language (e.g., PowerShell, Python, etc.)
• Prior experience with automation concepts and tools (i.e. Ansible, Terraform, etc.)
• Experience working in an agile environment and a working understanding of DevOps methods and development practices
• Knowledge of network infrastructure security (i.e. MAC spoofing, man-in-the-middle attacks, etc.)
• Working knowledge of securing public cloud infrastructure (i.e AWS, Azure, etc.)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and people skills are essential
• Experience navigating a business through complex risk decisions

Desired, not required, qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive security experience in a technical role
• Understanding of ICS/SCADA systems and architectures a plus
• Familiarity with data centers, or other industrial space, and concepts a plus
• Experience mentoring and developing junior resources
• Track record of success in securing large and complex environments
• A bachelor's degree with a job-related focus preferred, or equivalent experience
• Certifications (ISC2, ISACA, GIAC, COMPTIA) preferred
• Military, IC or LE experience a plus

Reporting to the Senior Director of Service Innovation, as Security Architect, you will act as an authoritative resource in application, system, network and physical security from an attacker’s perspective. You will collaborate with developers, system/network administrators, and other stakeholders to ensure the correct design, development, and implementation of applications and networks. Your primary responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Leading security assessments of third-party and internal applications, networks and physical systems.
• Defining security requirements, and evaluating processes, network designs and access controls.

This is a unique role for a talented professional who understands the overall security architecture and sees how everything works together. The ideal candidate will have experience with large-scale automated systems and combine their security prowess with strong knowledge of development processes and best practices. S/he will be able to read/write software and recognize points of weakness by working on building the platform, looking at the architecture, and bringing about change. Reviewing policy and methodology will be critical (i.e. understanding vulnerabilities when fixing a bit of code that must then be seamlessly rolled out to 10,000 systems). Your ability to collaborate effectively with smart, knowledgeable and talented people will be key to your success.
