Your technical knowledge of US Partnerships and REIT tax will be essential, but just as important will be the motivation to learn quickly, take on challenges enthusiastically, and contribute actively as part of a highly productive team. To be clear, if you are looking for a role focusing on compliance, this probably is not the position for you You'll have responsibilities in REIT compliance, but much of the corporate tax compliance is outsourced to a Big Four accounting firm.

To excel in this role you will be sharp and perceptive, bring the initiative to see what needs to be done and then take care of it. In addition, you'll use your analytical savvy, problem-solving skills and creativity to address problems independently and formulate a solution to the issues before bringing them to your manager.

The role will require a good deal of attention to details, so you'll need to be more than just willing to dig in -- you should enjoy working through the details. At the same time, you'll need to be able to step back when necessary to consult on bigger-picture issues. Our culture is entrepreneurial and casual, but we all have a strong sense of urgency. You also will need to be flexible and adaptable as Digital Realty and the Tax Department continue to grow and evolve.
