To be qualified for the Contracts Manager opportunity, you will need:
  • A bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university.
  • 8+ years of substantive commercial negotiation, including experience negotiating commercial agreements. Quick question for you - click here
  • Excellent academic credentials, organizational skills and work ethic.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information.
  • Accuracy and strict attention to detail.
  • A willingness to work on a broad variety of legal and business matters; agility.
  • A detail oriented, friendly, approachable, professional demeanor and disposition with a corresponding level of maturity.
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively.
  • Ability to act with sound business judgment in ambiguous situations.
  • To be a team player who can easily handle shifting priorities and multi-tasking in a deadline-oriented environment.
  • Real estate experience is a strong advantage.

You will join our legal team as a commercial contracts manager supporting both senior attorneys in the legal department as well members of our Sales and Portfolio Management teams.

Specifically, you will:
  • Review, draft and negotiate (i) customer-facing data center master services agreements, licenses, leases and occupancy agreements, order forms, amendments, and addenda between Digital Realty and new and existing data center customers; (ii) various other commercial and real property related documents (e.g., MOU’s, broker retention letters, assignments, access agreements, and landlord subordination agreements); and (iii) supplier-facing agreements.
  • Serve as the initial point of contact for lease administration, sales, operations and portfolio management on routine matters; serve as escalation point for NDA’s, broker registration letters, and other primarily self-service agreements;
  • Work with the legal team to improve forms, processes and training (including order forms, updating playbooks and training sales team members).
  • Support the legal team and business on regulatory and audit issues and project management for multijurisdictional customers.
Keys to Success

The successful candidate will be self-motivated and able to work well independently and in an organization subject to change. The Legal team is located throughout the U.S. so s/he must be able to work autonomously while also effectively partnering with leaders and peers seated elsewhere. A positive attitude, approachable style and outstanding communication skills will be key.
