To be a good fit for the Commercial Assistant Property Manager opportunity, you will have:
  • An associate's or bachelor's degree (preferred) in Business, Real Estate, Finance or similar, or the equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • 3+ years of related experience in commercial property management including responsibility for financial reporting, accruals, budgeting, and customer service.
  • Strong understanding of financial terms and principles and the ability to analyze financial statements.
  • Computer proficiency, including familiarity with MS Office programs, including intermediate Excel skills; Yardi or similar property management software experience preferred; SharePoint preferred.
  • The ability to work effectively and independently in a fast-paced environment, and under deadline pressure.
  • Interest in the data center industry and a passion for what you do.
  • The ability to pass a background check.
  • Legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer.

Reporting to and taking direction from the Real Estate Manager (REM) you will support Data Center CH3, located in Elk Grove Village, IL. You will be responsible for all aspects of the management of your assigned property, including both financial and operational tasks. You'll provide various financial reports and accruals, re-forecasts, budgeting and reconciliations. Additionally, you'll help with service agreements, AR and AP, and more. Managing our customer ticketing system will also be an important component of your role. 

In addition to the responsibilities described above, you will regularly work with Security, Engineering, Shipping and Receiving, and other teams, serving as a liaison for the REM and helping build a collaborative environment. You'll also work with vendors, such as landscapers. Specifically, you will:
  • Support the planning, budgeting, and control of operating and capital expenditures.
  • Assist in the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts, monthly reports, variance reports, and heavy financial reporting.
  • Assist with accounts receivable and accounts payable, payment of expenses, common area maintenance estimates, reconciliations, compliance with lease terms, and preparation of all related documentation.
  • Respond to customer requests and needs; coordinate efforts with Property Management and Technical Operation teams to resolve issues.
  • Oversee selection and performance of vendor services, including preparation of requests for proposal and service agreements; monitor vendor performance against service level agreements. 
  • Support creation of new purchase orders.
